AntiSpyware

There is no doubt that computers have become an important part of our everyday lives. Many people do all of their work and school work on their computers. Those who don’t, spend a lot of their free time gaming on their computers or just having fun in general online. Because your computer is an important part of your life, you should protect it against malware. If you don’t, then threats like Threatnuker may invade it and wreak havoc.

If you haven’t heard of Threatnuker, I’ll tell you what it is. It is a phony security application that makes claims to aid in protecting your computer, but it really doesn’t. Instead, it will cause your computer to work slowly, slow down your Internet connection, alter your browser settings, and generate pop-up ads. To add insult to injury, Threatnuker will cost you around $50 for its nefarious services.

Threatnuker can infect your computer through its website where it automatically starts to download if you try to view the download page. However, the more common method of infection is through a Trojan horse program. The Trojan usually infects a computer through rogue websites, downloads, or spam emails. Once it has been installed, it will secretly download Threatnuker without your permission. I don’t think I need to tell you that this is a very unethical method for getting a trial version of a program onto a computer.

Once the trial version of Threatnuker has been forcefully installed, it will start to generate warning messages as well as pop-up ads. The warning messages will claim that your computer has been overrun with malware, and the pop-ups will only help it to convince you of that. It will then suggest that you let Threatnuker scan your computer for the threats.

The scan that Threatnuker initiates is completely bogus. The results of the scan will be made up, but it will suggest that you register Threatnuker in order to have the threats removed. However, if you were to pay for the registration, you would be sorely disappointed. The registered version doesn’t really offer any protection against malware, nor does it remove any real threats.

For these reasons, Threatnuker should be removed from your computer as soon as you notice its presence. You could do this manually, though it would take a while and wouldn’t guarantee that your computer would be malware free. The better option for removal is using a legitimate antispyware program. But since there are programs like Threatnuker out there, looking for a program you can trust can be difficult.

To make finding a real antispyware program easier, you should do a little research. Find some antispyware programs that guarantee 100% spyware removal because you will want complete protection. Once you have found some, research the companies that have made the products and pick the one that is most trustworthy. If there is little or no information about them, then the company is fraudulent. Your computer deserves to be completely protected, so don’t put it off any longer.
