Spyware Doctor Download: A Look At 6.0.1

June 29th, 2009

The Spyware Doctor download is one of the top malware remover software downloads on the Internet. This software at one point was the endorsed malware remover of the Google Pack popular software distribution. In this commentary let’s look at the download from the newest version viewpoint. Namely, let’s look at version 6.0.1 – a mid-cycle update.

PC Tools’ attention for this release or update becomes known to be an enhancement of the protection, detection and scanning facilities.

This Spyware Doctor download has a innovative feature that the manufacturer calls “next generation sliding signatures.” Sliding signatures provide this release with the ability to identify threats infamous for frequently morphing. These signatures are used to discern the recognizable blueprints inside these types of misleading morphing threats and rapidly alert the program of the infection.

NOTE: The best malware software combination is spyware doctor with antivirus.

PC Tools’ sliding signatures have also brought performance improvements to scan time and compact memory footprint and smaller system load as a whole during scans. Notably, you can keep using your PC while the software scans for threats in silence in the background with ease and slight loading from the software.

PC Tools now offers password protection that lets you protect against illicit users, malware, spyware or adware trying to alter key security settings, which in turn renders your computer susceptible to attack by infections because of the lack of such a protection mechanism. With Spyware Doctor 6.0.1, you now have the means to password protect changes to the software settings, shutdown within the real-time protection module called IntelliGuard.

You have complete control over your installation to ensure maximized defense for every user when you activate password protection.

For serious game enthusiasts and online television watchers, the Full Screen Detection mode aspect is intended to render an uninterrupted user experience. This element furnishes zero-interruptions resulting in a modest performance hit to your system when in full screen mode is engaged. Your security is not compromised while this feature is enabled.

how to do registry cleaner

May 6th, 2009

Sometimes, for some inexplicable reasons our PC units or notebooks crash. And we can’t seem to figure out why. Sometimes, non-stop error messages flash on the screens and we just want to throw our monitors out the window. Outlook prompts never-endingly for a password and user name and you type it again and again. I though viruses are the culprit for these problems. Thus, I would download or buy anti-virus software. However, the problems do not seem to go away. Until I discovered that there is such a thing called registry cleaner. I am the type of person who does not go for mediocrity, especially when it comes to my computer. I only want the best registry cleaner for my PC. A registry is something like a memory bank on a computer that records everything the unit has gone through such as files, programs and software downloaded and deleted, and a whole lot more. And sometimes, they still carry unnecessary files which can cause the problems that make you want to pound a hammer on your computer. If you’re amazing with computers, you probably already know about registers and can edit registers directly. If you can do this by yourself, why not? Just be careful because you might delete a file that is very important to your system. Always back-up your registry so you always have something to return to when something does not go according to your cleaning plan. Luckily, there are best registry cleaners out there. The most common Windows OS system used – before Vista came in the picture – is Windows XP. There are registry cleaners that can address the problem of messy registries. However, this cleaning is not without risks. There is always a chance that a vital file can be deleted while cleaning. It is very important, therefore, to back up the registry before doing any “dusting.” You can choose from a variety of registry cleaners – from extensive to simple, from paid to free. One of the best registry cleaners is RegCure. It is said to be effective and safe – not causing unnecessary problems. There is a trial version of this cleaner so you can test it out and it can scan your registry for errors and delete the unnecessary files. Pcmag.com has rated Registry Fixer as the best registry cleaner in terms of speed, fixes, safety, bonus features, and user interface. Other cleaners that were rated are Registry First Aid, Registry Mechanic, Reg Organizer, RegSupreme, and Complete Registry Cleaner. There are also free registry cleaners like CCleaner, and EasyCleaner which can pretty much do the same job for free. You can also go to www.100kb.com. The software claims that it can address errors in connection to ActiveX controls, DLL issues, Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer errors, Runtime, Outlook, and other system problems. However, if you are not really good with computers, you should opt to have it fixed by an expert or in a local repair shop just to be sure. You might cause more errors or even cause your unit to not boot if you make a mistake in your cleaning the registry. It is always better safe than sorry. So, is it time to clean up your registry?

What should I look for when choosing an anti-spyware program?

A question that we get quite often is how you should choose a spyware remover. Obviously it’s important that your computer has the right protection on it to prevent any viruses or infections. There’s a lot of different programs that you can choose from to protect your computer, so it can get confusing as to what you should look for. Here’s a few tips to help you out:

To start, make sure the the software you choose doesn’t only kill any spyware that it finds on your system, but that it also provides active protection against any new infections. There are some programs that are only designed to scan your computer for any existing spyware threats. The best spyware remover will not only find and remove any problems that are already on your computer, but it will also provide you with real-time protection against new threats. This means that it’s always on in the background making sure that your computer fights off any potential threats.

Also, make a point to find a program that is able to find and destroy a wide variety of spyware infections. The internet has hundreds of thousands of types of spyware floating around so make sure that the spyware remover you choose has a comprehensive database of infections that it looks for. Without this, your computer will never be completely protected. I can’t stress this point enough – if you don’t have a program that can find all the threats out there, your system is at risk.

Lastly, look for a program that is made by a company that provides strong customer support. Most likely, you won’t ever need to get technical support for a spyware remover since they are simple to install and run, but I always think it reflects positively on the program if it is backed by a company that provides excellent service. It’s always a good idea to read spyware reviews to look into this.

Always keep in mind that it isn’t safe for a computer that doesn’t have an anti apyware program installed. Go out there, do a bit of research and I’m confident you will find the right program to keep your computer in tip-top shape.

Rid Your Computer of Spyware and Adware

January 10th, 2009

What many people fail to realize is that their PC, much like their car, needs routine maintenance in order to keep it running properly and at optimum performance and speed.  Your PC or laptop’s performance will degrade over time due to normal use and activity.  Even if you are cautious on the sites you visit and you never open any email from a non-trusted source, you may still have malicious software invading your pc and your privacy.

This software is known as spyware or adware.  Overtime, as you visit website after website your computer can accumulate an enormous amount of spyware or adware.  Many of these tiny programs are used by web masters to track buying habits or search habits on the Internet.  The non-threatening type are small little tracking cookies that allow advertisers to display relevant pop-up advertisements for whatever the user may be searching for in a given period of time.  Other types of spyware could have malicious intent and load keylogger type programs that capture every keystroke and record valuable information such as user names and passwords or even credit card information.  Some even contain virus-like programs that can hijack your browser and change your homepage or the way your Internet Explorer browses the web.

All of this can be very frustrating to the novice computer user.  They will notice a tremendous slow-down in how quickly their computer is navigating the web.  Many users blame their slow computer on their internet connection and call their provider to fix the problem when in reality their computer needs a good old fashion house cleaning.  Now…some users at this point get so frustrated that they take their computer to Best Buy or Circuit City and let the Geek Squads clean them off.  At $80 – $100 bucks a pop, Best Buy welcomes these customers with open arms.  What most people don’t realize is that the Geek Squad will use readily available Spyware and Adware removal programs to “clean” your computer. There is no need to tear down your computer or rebuild anything, a simple scanning program designed to remove spyware is used.  The program runs for 15 – 30 minutes or more depending on how many files are affected and once the program finishes scanning a simple mouse click is all it takes to repair and remove the located objects.  It is a simple process that can be done at home very easily and can save you the time and hassle of packing up your computer and dropping it off at the computer store.  And best of all, it can be done much cheaper if you do it yourself.

I recommend using NoAdware it is a simple to use program with an easy to use interface and you can scan your computer for Free!  Another program I have used in the past with great success is AdwareBot.  It is a fast, easy to use program that finds and deletes virtually all know spyware and Adware.

Another tip I recommend for computer maintenance is a simple registry cleaner. This tool alone will optimize and speed up your computer and remove broken or corrupt registry files that rob your computer of speed and processing power.  My favorite tool for this is RegistryFix.  It is a complete registry cleaner tool that will get rid of all of those annoying error messages for good.  If you continue to get error messages popping up or you have programs locking up or shutting down for no reason.  This tool is a must have.

Good luck and I wish you the best PC performance possible.
