How Can I Speed Up My PC – How To Do It

March 14th, 2010

‘Why is my computer slow’ and ‘how can I speed up my PC‘ are two very common problems suffered by many computer users. It really isn’t a mystery that your pc is bogged down. While it may have been the top of the line in the PC world a few years back, the emergence of newer, much powerful hardware and software lately could have caused it to lag behind newer models a bit. But apart from this reason, there are numerous other reasons that can cause your pc to slow down. So what are the fixes to speeding up your pc.

Remove malware. Worm, virus, adware, spyware…you name it. There have been plenty of these recently. If you think that your computer is bogged down, you should try removing the malware from your machine. There are a lot of malware removal programs out there and most of these are designed to specifically scan and remove any malicious codes in your pc. You can either pay for these are download them from your trusted websites.

Add more memory. New computer programs are designed with better performance and high system requirements in mind. If you have no plan of buying a new computer soon, you should seriously consider adding more memory to it. 1 GB is sufficient upgrade if you are just using your pc for ordinary functions like surfing the net or creating documents, but if you need to run high-requirement programs like games with good visual graphics, consider a higher upgrade.

Tidy up your drives. Look at your computer this way: it’s a cabinet. A well-organized cabinet makes it easy for the user to find his things but a cluttered one will require users to literally search through it.

The same holds true with computers. If it is cluttered, it will take up longer processing time to search files and run applications. After all, it will have to search through its cluttered sectors before it finds the things needed to run your operations. See if you have some cleaning up to do with your computer.

Run utility tools like hard drive scanners as regularly as you can. Also, regularly remove unnecessary programs, files, applications in any of your drives. Also, clear all the file debris in your computer’s registry. Your pc possesses a very efficient system of retaining its files, thus even when you have already deleted certain programs, file debris are still retained.

Regularly perform disk cleanup to guarantee that your Recycle Bin is free of contents, that temporary and working files are removed from your drives, and that downloaded files (like downloaded pictures, etc.) are properly sorted out. Also, always delete your browsing history to free up some disk space. If you don’t rely on browsing history that much, you should consider reducing the amount of browsing history your PC retains. You’ll be surprised just how much disk space these unneeded files eat up.

After de-cluttering its entire system, periodically defragment your drives and run its various utility tools for disk management, these will continually put everything in order.

Check the capacity of your PC. Using your computer is one thing, overworking it is another. If your computer is not fast enough for your needs, you should check its capacity. Very slow computers usually run on below 15% of free disk space. If you need to run your pc faster, you should maintain at least 25% of its disk free or 50%, whichever is possible. Otherwise, you will have to forgive your pc for its slow speed.

With periodical check-up and moderate expectations, you can solve the problem on ‘how can I speed up my PC‘ without actually having to run to your local computer handyman.

How to increase the speed of my pc .

March 3rd, 2010

I like to use Registry Easy, a registry cleaner, to make my pc run faster… This registry cleaner works by cleaning out the windows registry. The computer speed will be increased by about 70% after the invalid files are repaired. The other day, my brother ran up the stairs yelling about his lap-top being too slow. Then he ran into my room, dived onto my couch, rolled over, and yelled at me “how can I fix this computer?” .

Before reading on, have a look at my article on speed up my pc .

I told him to handle his pc more carefully or it may fall and cause him more serious problems. ”.

“Whatever you say, big brother.”. ” He just kept on screaming. “I hate this laptop, man: it’s so slow!”. ”.

“Why don’t you clean it?”.

‘Who ever heard of anyone cleaning a computer?”.

Of course… how many years has it been since you purchased your computer? 3 years.

“I never really thought about the exact number. “He spoke quietly.

To see some more of what a registry cleaner can do for you take a look at my article on how to speed computer up.

Older pcs slow down a lot because there are so many corrupted files in their registries… This is the sort of thing that could be happening now to your computer. .. Consequently, if you need a faster computer. I would suggest to you that you buy a registry cleaner. .

“What is the easiest way to do that?” he said.

I told him he could easily download a free trial of a good registry cleaner on the internet. The performance of his laptop would improve very much after a scan. So, why doesn’t just get up and go fix his laptop.

“Why not.I’ll go … ‘. And so, he finally left me in peace.

The registry is a sort of control center for the entire laptop.

New pcs come with clean registries that function smoothly.Unfortunately, the registry does not remain clean.

Sooner or later, people get irritated because the registry makes the computer unstable. . How can the computer stop being so slow? The computer will not run well if you don’t  take proper care of it. The performance of the computer falls when the system is full of corrupted files and errors.

The computer system requires regular maintenance in order to keep from slowing down.Just getting angry and frustrated is not going to repair the corrupted registry. You have to take action: the right action.

If this is done, you will naturally see your pc’s performance return to normal. The computer system benefits, in general, from having a registry free from corrupted files. . For once my brother did as he was told and he was happy: his computer got faster. He can go ahead and play his computer games again without worrying about a slow and sluggish pc.

Thanks for checking out my webpage. Good-bye and good luck. .

Why A Free Registry Cleaner Program Is Not Always The Best Option

February 6th, 2010

You might be enticed into downloading a free registry cleaner program, but you might want to first take into account the difference between free programs and ones you pay for. As it turns out, there is more than just a price difference. Getting a free program might mean you are taking risks that put your computer in jeopardy. And since a registry cleaner is all about keeping your computer running at its highest level, putting it in danger is the last thing you want to do.

The biggest risk that free programs come with is the chance that they may contain viruses or malware. Depending upon where you get the program from, it may have been passed across many different computers. If you download directly from the maker’s site, you might be able to avoid these potential problems, but there are still other things to consider. Free registry cleaner programs might not set off any problems, but they could lack the support you get from a software company’s program.

If you decide to go with a program from a software company, you may have to pay a little but you get a lot more than with a free program. The biggest advantage you get is the support of the company from whom you purchased the program, something you definitely don’t get from a free registry cleaner program. You will also likely get access to any updates to the program or future changes. If you’re still unsure about dropping the money on a registry cleaner, you can always visit the company website and check out a free trial. Almost every company offers some kind of demo version of their product.

Whether you buy a program or go with a free registry cleaner program, you have to make sure that it comes with a backup utility. A damaged registry can be a major problem you want to avoid at all costs. If your program has a backup utility, you can restore an old version and avoid potential problems. A free program may or may not come with this utility.

Not everyone can afford to spend money on a registry cleaner and a free registry program will work just fine in most conditions. However, the lack of support and risk of getting a poorly designed free registry cleaner program may be enough incentive for many people to spend a little extra money and get a quality product.

How Much Are Windows XP Registry Cleaners Going To Cost?

February 4th, 2010

It still surprises me that Windows XP registry cleaners are not standard with every copy of Windows XP. Regardless, you still have to search elsewhere in order to find a decent utility. While the registry is slowly becoming an outdated system, there is still a lot of benefit to be found from keeping your registry clean. Investing in a quality registry cleaner is important and making sure you run it regularly will keep your PC at its top speed.

First, you need to understand why a registry cleaner is so important. Your registry is, in simple terms, the brain of your operating system. Developed way back with Windows 3.1, the registry cleaner is still in use today. However, when you uninstall, move or update programs you might leave behind artifacts in the registry that slow down your computer’s processing time.

The first thing you’ll probably notice when looking for Windows XP registry cleaners is the price difference. For instance, you might find some free to download from the internet. While this can be tempting, keep in mind that causing errors in your registry can lead to some pretty serious computer problems. Do you really want to trust such a delicate aspect of your computer to a piece of freeware? You get very few tools and no customer service whatsoever. In fact, the only thing you do get is a very basic cleaner and a FAQ to help you use it. A solid registry cleaner shouldn’t cost any more than 40 dollars and it is money well spent.

When you buy a registry cleaner, you should get several different tools. First, you want to make sure that it comes with a backup utility for your registry. While the odds of doing any damage with a cleaner are small, you never want to put your computer at unnecessary risk. You might also find that the cleaner comes with a scheduled scan and clean and hopefully access to some customer support.

With all of the valuable items on your computer such as pictures, music, business and personal records, it truly is a smart idea to invest in a software that you know is going to do its job of helping speed up PC performance.  Of course, a smart computer user also performs backups to ensure that these important items aren’t lost. So when you cringe and ask, “how much are Windows XP registry cleaners going to cost,” just remind yourself that it can protect priceless files.

How to Speed Up Your PC With a Registry Cleaner

January 29th, 2010

If you use your personal computer regularly, whether for work or recreation, it is inescapable for issues to arise.  The commonest being a decline in the PC speed and performance.  This is experienced particularly during start-up or closing down of the computer and other applications, in playing games, browsing the web, and such like.  This can get really frustrating, bothersome, time-consuming and even quite expensive if you are losing quality work time on your personal computer.

The common problem with windows XP is that it contains a part which consistently gets damaged and corrupted.  Due to this problem, the files take a considerable time to read, slows down your personal computer and even cause more errors.  This PC part responsible for these Problems is the registry.

Each time you use your personal computer you open masses of different files in the registry.  Things occur so speedily that windows starts putting files in the incorrect place as it is overloaded with work.  The filing system gets muddled and just like one of those manual filing cabinets, things become difficult to find and it take longer to access because they are not where they should be and results in your PC slowing down.

To fix this is actually very simple – you simply need to employ a tool called a ‘registry cleaner’ to go through your system and fix all of the corrupt registry files that are in there.  Registry cleaners are very effective at speeding your personal computer up because they get this central database working smoothly and efficiently again, making your personal computer run like new.  Dependent on how good your registry cleaner is, you just need to run one scan and you’ll often see a massive improvement right away.

How To Make Your PC Faster

January 29th, 2010

One or two months into your new PC, you’ll notice considerable loss of speed.  This happens to pretty much anything that you have in there – applications, web, files.  One of the reasons behind this issue is the infiltration of malware and malicious software into your system.  Add to that unwanted programs and you’re left with a really slow desktop that makes you feel like ripping your hair out because it consumes your time.  So how to speed up your PC?

Cleanup Disk.  To get your personal computer runs quicker ; you need to economize the number of needless files or the files that are no longer needed and used in your hard disk.  Perhaps, Disc cleanup is a complete must to free up your disc space.  It helps to clean the mistakes in your computer performance.  Click “start’ menu and choose “my computer”.  Right click on the disk you wish to check the mistakes and choose “properties”.  In the properties dialog box, click “tools” and press “check now” on the error-checking section.  Check all of the check boxes and press start.  A message box pops-up and asks if you would like to line up the disk check the next time you restart your computer.

Look fo rspyware.  Spyware slows down your computer. Removing spyware will make Pc faster. This not only saps your system of important information but ALSO precious working space.  Fundamentally, it uses hidden applications that are downloaded along with whatever apparently valid bit of software you are making an attempt to download.

Delete non permanent files.  There are two categories of non permanent files, the one from the internet and the temporary files stored in your programs.  Temporary Internet files are stored into your system every time you visit an internet site so that when you reopen that specific web site, it is faster.  The issue [, however ,] is that too many temporary Internet files at last slows down your system, making the first purpose moot.  Just like temporary web files, non-permanent program files get logged every time you open up a program or application.

Optimize Your Computer Speed

December 20th, 2009

So your computer is slow? What To do?Malicious software comprises of malware, adware, computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, most Rootkits, backdoors, spyware, devious adware, crimeware, botnets, keystroke loggers, dialers and other antagonistic and unwanted software are very often the main reason for a slow PC. Get rid of them to speed up your PC!   They come with potent resources that can help them automatically and secretly peep into your PC through tracking your Web activity without satisfactory notice, consent, or control and steal your sensitive or private info like ID numbers, birthday, email address and passwords and some confidential information.

Begin with the hardware.  If you choose to change your processor, you will also need to change the motherboard.  Since this is expensive, you can just increase the RAM of your personal computer.  The RAM can make a big effect on your PCs performance.  In addition, you may install a dedicated graphics card so that the whole load will be taken off your processor and speed up your PC.

Do a scan to detect and repair mistakes.  Use the error checking utility to check your computer for bad sectors and file system mistakes then do the necessary steps to repair them. You can benefit from doing this at least once a week.

Everything starts with your Windows Registry getting full with some random stuff, fragmented and filled with blunders.  This happens because of the way, in which it is made.  Everyone can put his stuff inside.  And, once something is inside Windows Registry, nobody actually gives care to cleaning it up when it is not anymore useful.  And with time it becomes trash, which just lies around and makes your computer jerkier.
