Parent Are Finding Web Monitoring Software Necessary

December 18th, 2009

With the worldwide web so easily accessible, more and more parents are searching for web monitoring software to help them keep their children safe. They are hoping that these programs will help them to better monitor what is going on in their child’s online lives. The following article will discuss the subject further.

Parents are finding thousand and thousands of downloads on the internet for computer monitoring software. Once you find a program they are comfortable with, it should be installed on the machine your children use the most. Once it is installed, the program will record each stroke your child makes from his keyboard, including passwords, email addresses, and chat logs. Anything your child types will be recorded and put in a log for you to read later.

Once the data is collected, the log file is normally encrypted, as well as password protected. Most children (and adults for that matter!) are unable to detect that new software has even been installed on their computer. With most keylogger type software, the log file can be exported to HTML format or as a.doc file.

You can find many free programs by searching the web using your favorite search engine. Free programs can do the job effectively, but only if your child is not a computer genius. The paid programs often offer more effective ways of detection prevention.

For example, some of the free programs will be detected as a virus if a child uses a virus scan. Most of the paid programs will not be detected as a virus in the same situation. In addition, most of the free versions are detectable in the task manager option of Windows. Most paid versions have the program blocked from showing up in the task manager.

As parents, it is our natural instinct to do whatever it takes to protect our children. While the internet is full of useful information you child may need to access in order to better their education, there are also dangers associated with it. By monitoring your child’s online activity with software programs, you are only trying to prevent them from encountering the dangers.

How Can Keystroke Software Help Me?

December 16th, 2009

Many people each day manage to benefit from having keystroke software at their disposal. It allows them to see what has been going on computers in your home or place of work when you cannot be around to watch over them. This in the workplace will give you the proof you need to show that although it is banned that the works computers have been used for things other than what your employees are being paid to do.

Detectives were the first people to use this software as they were able to get into the computers of people they felt were up to no good and retrieve passwords to the sites that they have gone on to. This meant that even if they were encrypted they could still have enough information so that the person could be confronted.

This is extremely useful if you think that your spouse may have been cheating as you will be able to backtrack all the sites they have visited even if they have deleted the history. You will then be able to have proof to confront them with or have the peace of mind that they have not visited dating sites or been e mailing another person.

Another use is when you have young children or teenagers. You will be able to make sure that they are not on sites that they shouldn’t be as well as finding out whether they really were doing their homework when they told you they were instead of chatting to friends or playing games.

Don’t worry of you are not a computer whiz, most of us are not. The software comes with instructions and you will be able to install it with ease no matter your prior knowledge. Don’t worry about getting found out as the programme works behind the scenes so you no longer have to hope for a glimpse of the screen when you walk past.

Why worry about what others are doing when you can easily find out. This software was created for professional use, but as you can see it also has its uses within the home which means that you are able to get on with other things that need to be doing so that you can collect evidence or relax with peace of mind.
